minigoggles1Have you ever forgotten where you parked your car? Mini has the solution for you.   BMW’s Britain-based small-car subsidiary is introducing their own Augmented Vision Goggles.

Introduced at the Shanghai Motor Show, these goggles are the latest technology to hit the wearables market and to use augmented reality. Reminiscent of retro aviator goggles in design, these new goggles provide information to help the wearer both inside and outside of their Mini-Cooper.

Here is what you can expect from Mini’s augmented vision goggles:

  • Navigation prompts will direct you once you have exited your car, or if you can not locate your car in a large parking lot or garage, the same prompts will guide you to your car.
  • While driving, the goggles will continue to provide navigation information as well as monitor speed limits.
  • Another driving safety feature is an incoming text message can be read aloud while you are diving.
  • Parallel parking has never been easier when wearing the goggles. They will be able to gauge the proper distance so you can park with ease.
