In less than six months, FT’s (Financial Times) new Mobile App has registered more than one million users. If you recall my posting from July, FT launched the HTML5 Mobile Website to bypass Apple’s iTunes App Store and the 30% commission to Apple for content subscriptions. If you think mobile is just a marginal event for FT – think again. According to their own Website, mobile and tablet devices account for 20% of total page views.
