Many of us were wondering when IBM would step it up for the mobile race. As you may recall, SAP snatched Sybase (which included a significant mobile capability) in May of 2010 for $5.8 billion.

Terms of the Worklight deal were not disclosed by IBM or Worklight.  Though an article on SYS-CON Media estimates the amount be around $50-60 million.  Hardly a significant sum for Big Blue, but perhaps some outside mobile acumen can help the giant compete in the evolving space.  That leave us with Oracle, as well as much more consolidation to come…  Next??
