Mobile Monday Speaker Series & Tech Labs

We are pleased to announce the 2014/15 Mobile Monday Cleveland program, with an updated schedule and new events.  In addition to our successful Speaker Series & Networking events, which averaged over 50 business professionals at each event last year, we are pleased to announce the addition of our Mobile Monday Tech Labs to our programming.

The Mobile Monday Tech Labs are designed to engage mobile developers in our community and connect them with the business leaders who are driving mobile initiatives. This exciting event will be led by instructors from The Software Craftsmanship Guild in Akron, an an accredited, accelerated learning center that helps people who are passionate about technology quickly and effectively gain the necessary skills to contribute to development teams.

The Mobile Monday Tech Labs are comprised of four sessions that will teach you high-level Android concepts, how to configure environments, build a simple app, learn movement and graphics and interface with third party systems (i.e. social media networks). This is a jam packed instructional course taught by a master teacher, and it’s absolutely free to members of the Mobile Monday Cleveland community.

The Tech Labs and Speaker Series will be held on alternating months, in hopes that we can foster a technical community alongside our engaged business leaders.    We’ll then plan to bring both communities together twice a year in a social networking environment.

Kick-Off Event – Speaker Series & Networking featuring Julie Krebs, Virtual Brand Advisors

We’re pleased to welcome brand Advisor, Julie Krebs with Virtual Brand Advisors. Julie is the first to admit she doesn’t know code. Yet, she’s a regular attendee to our Mobile Monday events. Why? It’s important to understand the how and what technology can solve for big and emerging brands. This is especially true with the rapid adoption of mobile. Join us on Monday, October 20, as Julie will share, with techies and non-techies alike, how to ideate within the technology space, three key ways mobile technology engages brands and best go-to resources to learn “techie” speak.
