Situation: Although our client had developed a few, disconnected mobile solutions by individual lines of business, they lacked a cohesive strategy to provide a consistent customer experience across the channel.  They also were facing increasing support costs across individual point solutions and needed an enterprise strategy to address the development and maintenance of their portfolio of applications.

Response:  Pervasive initiated a strategy and roadmap engagement to help our client identify what solutions they should create based on business objectives, competitive analysis and system capabilities.  Through both primary and secondary research, we helped them define their positioning in order to identify and prioritize the top 20 mobile projects they should take on and created initial sequencing for those initiatives. Pervasive also looked at the client’s development architecture and mobile delivery capabilities to align expertise and efficiencies.

Value: The client is currently evaluating the use of enterprise platforms, based on Pervasive’s recommendation to reduce their development effort and total cost of ownership across their mobile initiatives.  They have also restructured their corporate e-business team to provide better governance, reuse and subject matter expertise to the individual mobile project teams across lines of business.
