With the recent launch of Wyndham Hotels’ redesigned mobile rewards platform and loyalty program comes another major announcement guaranteed to enhance customer experience. Wyndham plans to utilize mobile promotions to target social media and mobile users as part of a new marketing campaign to supplement the launch of their loyalty program.
According to Noah Brodsky, vice president of worldwide loyalty and engagement, Wyndham Hotel Group:
Rewards-enabled promotions are important because they help keep members excited about the program and drive engagement, which in turn helps drive loyalty. To help kick-off our new program, we’ve launched a new summer promotion where members earn 3,000 points after just one qualified stay.
The new marketing campaign will feature actor Kristofer Hivju from Game of Thrones portraying the “Wyndham Rewards Wyzard.” Wyndham will introduce the character to audiences through targeted digital, television and radio content.
Customers will see the Wyzard appear and grant them loyalty rewards on their mobile device as they travel and stay at Wyndham properties. Using instant gratification rewards, Wyndham hopes to tap into the needs of the contemporary traveler and mobile user as “the immediacy of a loyalty program is crucial to influence the on-the-go consumer”.
